Arius SS+/ was born to Sandspur Arabians in 1991, the last foal of *Panama of Tersk. A chestnut stallion with exceptional breeding, Arius SS+/ started his show career in Halter. He began as a yearling and was a Junior Champion Colt, Champion Stallion and Regional Top Five Breeding Stallion AAOTR.
But Arius’s show career was to move well beyond his Halter days. Also a Hunter Pleasure winner, Arius’s showed his true talent in Western Pleasure. Within the Western Pleasure discipline, Arius has been named U.S. and CANADIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION in the AAOTR 40-Over division. Brett Becker was also U.S. RESERVE NATIONAL CHAMPION with Arius.
Arius’s foals include Regional and Scottsdale Hunter Pleasure winner, Smooth Transaction (Half-Arabian owned by Becker Stables). Progeny also include Argentinna SS, dam of 2010 filly Ghazalat al Khadeliah (photo by Gigi Grasso) by PA Gazsi. Bred by Pannonia Arabians, this filly already has two jewels in her crown as 2011 Junior Champion Filly at Menton, France Arabian Show and 2011 All Nations Cup Bronze Champion Junior Fillies in Aachen, Germany. Arius’s foals are known for their quality, great disposition and athletic ability, and these traits carry through to future generations.
